Dr. Mary Etta Hobbs

Dr. Hobbs has her DMA from the University of North Texas in Vocal Performance.  She taught at Abilene Christian University for eight years where she was the Opera Director.  Among the operas she has directed are Cendrillon (Cinderella) by Massenet, Gianni Schichi by Puccini, The Bartered Bride by Smetana and Help, Help the Globolinks by Menotti.  She has also performed numerous recitals, operas, and musical roles including Marian in Music Man, Frumasarah in Fiddler on the Roof, Angelina in Trial by Jury, Vespetta in Pimpinone and Serpina in La Serva Padrona.

Dr. Hobbs is married to Dr. John Hobbs who is a minister at Cottonwood Church of Christ and has four sons and four grandchildren.
