Early Day Music Lessons

We are excited to be expanding our Homeschool Music Program. If you have older children who are interested in private lessons, you are always welcome to drop by for a tour of our 21-studio facility or to schedule a consultation appointment with one of our music professionals.

Our early day lesson rates are available for homeschool families who can schedule a private music lesson before 3:30 pm Monday – Friday. We provide early-day lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, drums, violin, viola, cello and bass. These lessons can be scheduled for 30, 45, or 60-minutes weekly.

TEFA Certified Approved Vendor

TEFA-Approved Music Lessons

Rockwall School of Music is an approved TEFA vendor, providing eligible Texas families with access to private music education using qualifying TEFA funds. Students can receive individualized, one-on-one music instruction from RSM’s highly-trained instructors in a variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, drums, voice, violin, viola, cello, bass, and ukulele. TEFA eligibility, funding, and approved expenses are determined by the Texas Education Agency and applicable program guidelines.

What are the Hours for Early Day Lessons?

Lessons are available Monday – Friday before 3:30 PM at a home school or discounted rate.

Do you offer a variety of instruments?
Yes. We are the only school in the greater Rockwall area that offers all of these popular instruments and more: Piano, Guitar, Drums, Voice, Strings, Bass, and Ukulele lessons at one location.
What makes the homeschool music program different?
The instruction is the same. The schedule is the only thing that changes. Homeschool lessons are offered earlier in the day, which allows us to offer them at a reduced rate.
Is this program only for certain instruments?
No. Homeschool students can enroll in any lesson we offer, including piano, guitar, voice, drums, and strings.
Does music count as part of a homeschool curriculum?
For many families, yes. Music builds discipline, coordination, and focus. Some parents count it as an elective. Some treat it as personal development. Either way, it holds value beyond the lesson itself.
Can I use TEFA funds for music lessons at Rockwall School of Music?
Yes. Rockwall School of Music is an approved TEFA vendor. Eligible families may use qualifying TEFA funds for approved music education services at RSM, subject to current TEFA requirements and available funding.

Rockwall School of Music is a fantastic organization! My daughter has been going on and off, as her schedule permits for several years. They are always very accommodating and the staff are always so kind!! They offer recitals so the students can showcase what they have learned and to help them get used to performing in front of people. My daughter has had many instructors, and she has enjoyed every single one of them!

I counted it one of life's richest blessings to have known Russ and Karen Porter for over 45 years as a church musician and music educator. Through the years of master degree classes and recitals, local church music ministry, and now a wonderfully successful and meaningful business adventure, I have witnessed them to be genuine and caring people serving others in so many kind, encouraging and admirable ways.
